Five Impaired Drivers Charged During Busy Easter Weekend

Charlottetown Police Services continue to address impaired driving in our community charging five people with impaired driving during a busy Easter weekend. Three of the people charged were stopped by police on patrol, one at a road check, and the other resulting from a member of the public alerting police. Police also answered 121 calls for service over the Easter weekend in Charlottetown and issued 66 tickets under the Highway Traffic act and the Liquor Control act. The Charlottetown Police Service would like to thank the public for there continued support in identifying Impaired drivers in our community and keeping our streets safe.
