Update - Operation Headway

Charlottetown Police Services has laid 52 charges this year to date against cyclists found in violation of the bicycle helmet law. Hundreds of others found wearing their helmets were given treat and restaurant tokens.

This is an increase from last year when a total of 50 tickets were issued for the whole year.  Recently our Police Services has designated a Bike Patrol Officer to work with the vehicle patrols to educate and enforce the helmet law.
