Drug Seizure

At 5:50 pm, yesterday afternoon the Street Crime Unit of the Charlottetown Police Services executed a search warrant at a residence located on Angus Dr, in Charlottetown.  As a result a 19 year old, Charlottetown man was arrested for possession for the purposes of trafficking of a controlled substance.  Approximately 2.5  Kilograms of Marijuana was seized during the search, with a street value of estimated at $15000.00.  

Police feel that this seizure will significantly impact the availability of street level sales of marijuana in Charlottetown.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court later today.
